All of the flowers were done in shades of white set off by hints of dark green foliage.
Christina and Hale wed in a traditional Methodist ceremony that took place outdoors beside the bay. They exchanged vows beneath a wrought-iron arbor brimming with white wisteria.
At the reception, silver candelabra and centerpieces of white flowers arranged in varying heights topped off tables, and spherical flower arrangements hung from the tented ceiling, adding to the romantic atmosphere.
And, of course, who could help but notice the elaborate, seven-tiered wedding cake!
Christina played the part of the princess bride in a strapless satin ball gown with silver embroidery by Reem Acra.
Even the fireworks later that evening lit up the sky in silver and gold.
It took a good 20 years for sparks to fly between Christina Ake and George (Hale) Harrison; but once they did, there was no stopping them.

The Bride Christina Ake, 23, marine business
The Groom George (Hale) Harrison, 24, hotel manager
The Date June 11

The couple first met in kindergarten, and they actually attended school together for 13 years. Christina and Hale finally became romantically linked after college. Following Hale’s proposal on a moonlit beach, the two began planning a wedding celebration at the groom’s family’s horse farm on the Maryland shore.
